# Node Operators

Node operators are the backbone of Lattice, Tashi's global DePIN infrastructure. By running nodes, you provide the coordination infrastructure that enables robots, AI agents, and IoT devices to work together across trust boundaries.

## The Opportunity

Every day, billions of dollars flow to centralized cloud providers for coordination services. As a Lattice node operator, you capture a portion of that value by providing:

* **Discovery services** that help applications find peers
* **NAT traversal** that connects devices behind firewalls
* **Relay/proxy services** that route traffic when direct connections fail
* **Validation** that confirms coordination events are legitimate

Revenue flows directly to operators: **60%** of all network revenue goes to Resource Node operators.

## Getting Started

Ready to run a node? Follow these steps:

1. Review [Node Types](https://docs.tashi.network/node-operators/nodes/node-types) to understand the roles
2. Check [Node Specifications](https://docs.tashi.network/node-operators/nodes/node-specifications) for hardware requirements
3. Follow the [Installation Guide](https://docs.tashi.network/node-operators/nodes/node-installation) to set up your node
4. Learn the [Reputation System](https://docs.tashi.network/node-operators/nodes/reputation-system) to maximize earnings
