User Agreement
User Agreement for the Tashi Network
Effective Date: July 24, 2025 Last Updated: July 24, 2025
This User Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal contract between you ("User", "you") and Tashi Protocol Ltd, a company incorporated under the laws of the British Virgin Islands ("Tashi", "we", "our", or "us"). It governs your access to and use of:
The Tashi Command Center web application
The Tashi Worker Node software and any related CLI tools or binaries
Associated APIs, telemetry services, documentation, and support channels
By installing the Tashi Worker Node or using the Command Center, you agree to the terms of this Agreement.
1. Scope of Agreement
This Agreement includes both:
A Terms of Use section (applicable to web interfaces, telemetry, and user accounts)
An End User License Agreement (EULA) (governing node software usage, bonding, and slashing)
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding agreement. Use is limited to individuals or entities complying with all applicable laws in their jurisdictions.
3. Definitions
“Command Center”: Web dashboard for managing and monitoring Tashi nodes
“Worker Node”: Installed software binary that participates in the Tashi decentralized infrastructure
“$TASHI Token”: The native digital asset used for bonding, staking, and rewarding node performance
“Bonding”: The act of staking $TASHI tokens to license a node’s participation
“Slashing”: Penalties applied to misbehaving nodes, including partial or full loss of bonded tokens
“Licensee”: An entity that manages one or more nodes on behalf of operators and holds bonding responsibility
“Foundation”: A forthcoming non-profit entity that will steward governance, rewards, and protocol upgrades
“DAO”: A future decentralized autonomous organization that may assume formal governance responsibilities
4. Command Center Terms of Use
4.1 License & Access
You are granted a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Command Center for managing authorized Worker Nodes.
4.2 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Tamper with node reputation, consensus mechanics, or telemetry
Access others’ nodes or accounts without authorization
Use bots, scrapers, or unauthorized automation
4.3 Availability & Modifications
Tashi does not guarantee continuous availability. We may modify or discontinue features at any time with or without notice.
5. Worker Node EULA
5.1 License Grant
Tashi grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run the Worker Node software on your hardware, subject to this Agreement.
5.2 Restrictions
You agree not to:
Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Worker Node
Circumvent bonding, slashing, or node performance measurement systems
Misrepresent node capabilities or falsify metrics
5.3 Bonding & Licensing
To participate in the DePIN, nodes must be licensed through bonding of $TASHI tokens. Licenses may be held directly or through a Licensee, who assumes bonding and reputation obligations.
Bonded licenses are subject to:
Minimum stake thresholds
Performance and availability checks
Risk of slashing for persistent misbehavior
5.4 Updates
Tashi may push critical updates or patches. It is your responsibility to keep nodes up to date to avoid slashing or disqualification.
6. Rewards & Incentives
Participation in the Tashi DePIN may entitle you to rewards denominated in $TASHI tokens or equivalent reward points, backed by USD-based network revenue.
Reward mechanics: based on uptime, job completion, quality, and service type
Backed by: USD developer payments, with 1:1 conversion to reward point value
Redemption: Points may be redeemed for services, staking, or converted into tokens (subject to terms)
These rewards are not guaranteed, and the structure may evolve based on performance, network economics, and governance.
7. Intellectual Property
All Tashi code, documentation, protocols, branding, and user interfaces are the property of Tashi or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify them without written permission.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use data from your use of the Worker Node and Command Center. You agree to its terms.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for any reason, including:
Failure to maintain required performance levels
Evidence of tampering, manipulation, or gaming
Breach of this Agreement
You may terminate this Agreement at any time by deleting your account and ceasing node operation.
10. Governance & Evolution
10.1 Initial Oversight
Decisions regarding slashing thresholds, bonding requirements, rewards, and platform upgrades are initially made by the Tashi core team.
10.2 Transition to Foundation
These responsibilities will progressively transition to an independent Tashi Foundation, tasked with long-term stewardship of the protocol.
10.3 Potential DAO Governance
Over time, governance may be decentralized further via a DAO, with decisions made by $TASHI stakers and API credit holders. Voting rights, thresholds, and scopes will be defined in future governance frameworks.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Tashi software and services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Tashi disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tashi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed $100 USD, regardless of the cause.
13. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the British Virgin Islands, unless otherwise specified in a mutually agreed arbitration clause.
